Inside the Volcano, was created from a highly modified photo of the inside of a giant hollowed out redwood tree in Northern California. The textures and colors resemble a volcanic eruption and that resemblance was further realized through the editing process. A thick coating of clear resin and clear glass chips were applied to the print and upon curing, the piece was cracked and bent into the desired shape and re-coated with more clear resin to create a stunning three dimensional effect. Prints of this work are available in the Abstract Prints section of this website in a wide range of sizes, on a variety of different media types.
